The beautiful story
of a great
Family

The Vicaroni family since the early 1900s has lived and worked in this charming corner of Umbria.
The family lived in what was once called the 'Casale di Grello', located in the centre of a farm whose boundaries are still marked by beautiful Mulberry tree avenues. In the shade of the mulberry trees, also known as 'plants of the Moors', the Vicaroni family used to rest during their working days.

The big dream
of Piero

Although life events took the various family members in different directions, Piero with his wife Milena continued to pursue what had always been his dream: to one day return to live on that land, and in the late 1980s, with courage, he decided to realize his project: to buy back and redevelop the much-loved family home.

Today Piero and Milena with their sons Nicolò and Mattia, along with a few trusted collaborators, administer the prestigious Tenuta dei Mori.

The “Casale di Grello” and the magnificent estate that surrounds it have become “Tenuta dei Mori” – a charming Relais and Organic Farm, a venue for events, and a wine tourism destination welcoming guests from all over the world. The main building, dating back to the 19th century, has been carefully restored and converted into a farmhouse accommodation, preserving the original architecture typical of Umbrian estates. Every restoration work was carried out with particular attention to the choice of materials and the involvement of local craftsmen. The family has always had a deep respect for sustainability and for the land. The entire property is powered by solar panels, and the garden, vegetable patch, and orchard are irrigated using a lake that collects rainwater.

A corner of paradise in the heart of Umbria. Tenuta dei Mori thanks to its incredible panoramic view of Perugia and the surrounding hills is an ideal place for unforgettable events and holidays.
